- Demographics.xls - One of my favorite sheets, this was based on some nice anthropological info and was my first peek into how to make a campaign world that "makes sense." I use this to determine how many cities (and their approximate sizes) I need to create for a given region.
- Cities.xls - Cities are the macro view of a campaign world. I wanted to be able to quickly generate a city with some detail so I made this sheet. I usually generate cities till I find the ones that fit my region profile and copy/paste the information into a Word .doc or wiki. (I'm going to fix this to stop generating commoners over 9th level, only PC/adventuring classes should be higher).
- Bloodline.xls - This is a spreadsheet I made to help me quickly generate families for my campaign. Since the Cities sheet tells me how many [noble] families are present, I have a profile for each city. The bigger the city, the more work this is. If you organize this in a wiki format, it starts to come together--drill down from a city to an individual.
- CharacterBackgrounds3.xls - I made this too. The Bloodline generator assigns character level closely related to age and caps at around 9th level. However, if you need a higher-level NPC or someone with a background to fit their station (like captain of the guard) the character must have seen some action. They must have done some adventuring, fighting in battles, etc. This sheet also gives some family characteristics and personality traits that can be used independantly.
- FRSilverMarchesWeatherGeneratormoonp.xls - I modified this sheet to have additional information. When I ran the realms, I used it for calendar, moon phases, and weather. The FR-specific information is still there, but I ignore it now. I usually generate a few months of calendar with weather and moon ahead of time and add campaign notes to that in another program.
- overlandmovement.xls - To help define trade routes, set prices, etc. it helps to know how long it takes to get from point A to point B. I made this sheet as much for DM world-building as for PC movement.
- SilverymoonEconModelrevised.xls - Also a holdover from my FR days, I modified this sheet a little. I don't always use it, but it helps add local flavor to a game when certain things cost more because of the raw materials involved or the labor required.
- diyflying.xls - One of my favorite spreadsheets, it's just an example of DnD meets physics. If I make something like this it will be "how far you can featherfall based on speed/jump."
- froutdoorencounters.xls - This started with a great encounter spreadsheet that I heavily modified to provide group and NPC encounter data based on the FR DM screen insert. However, about the time I stopped running the realms, I had not input all of the terrain tables. So, it works great but only has one terrain choice--if you want others, you'll have to provide the monster list yourself (not hard).
- EL-XP-Calculator-35-v1.3.xls - Still one of the best XP calculator sheets I've seen. Nice work.
- stronghold.xls - I don't think I've used this one yet, but if I ever need to calculate how much it costs to build a keep, I'll look here first.
