Can you believe Porsche charges extra for this shit?

7-13-2009:  I currently have 2 sets of 993 Carrera Cup wheels - they are slightly lighter than the 17" twists currently on the car.  I reconditioned these wheels in Nighthawk Black Metallic (2008 Honda Civic SI factory color).

Specs are as follows
     FRONT - ET 55 / 7" - 18 lbs
     REAR - ET 55 / 9" - 19.5 lbs

4-25-2010:  FLR SCCA Solo (autocross) season opener at RIT with my Carrera Cups on 235 front/265 rear.

5-10-2010:  Brand new genuine Porsche OEM (translation - overpriced) pads and rotors on all four corners.

5-24-2010:  I spent two days at Watkins Glen at the Porsche Club of America High Performance Driver Education program.  By the second day I was exceeding the limits of the stock braking compound - these need upgrading for the next HPDE.  The car itself was amazingly balanced, though underpowered.

5-25-2010:  The water pump gave out.  "Should have got an air cooled Porsche!".  I know, I know.  It was olde and rusty, and the 90 degree heat + repeated abuse at the track probably pushed it to its death.  Replaced with a brand new, genuine Porsche OEM (translation - expensive) water pump.

8-20-2010: 56,354 miles: Had to replace part of the power top assembly.  Apparently the right side got crushed and wouldn't go up or down.  Not a horribly expensive part but a lot of labor that hurt the wallet.  Between this and the water pump I should have gotten an air cooled, manual top or targa top car.  Oh well.

8-29-2010: Tire update
STREET: Sumitomo HTR Z III in 205/50/17 & 255/40/17 - love these tires for street use, lots of durability AND grip.  I had these at the Glen and they were fantastic.
RACE: Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec in 235/45/17 & 265/40/17 - these are ok for autocross, they get a bit hot and slippery later in the day but wear well.

9-11-2010: Replaced the brakes again.  They were nuked from my last trip to Watkins Glen - the stock pads simply couldn't handle my late braking.  Replaced the rotors with OEM, and the pads with BHP XPS composite pads.  If these don't do the trick I'll have to bite the bullet and upgrade to a less street friendly setup like something from Pagid or a Hawk HP+.

9-26-2010: Getting consistently faster and faster and placing higher and higher.  Debating whether to spend money on more driver education (Evo School etc . . . ) or upgrading to the M030 option.

10-7-2010: Installed a Halon 2.5lb fire extinguisher into the Brey-Krause bracket under the passenger seat.  This was suggested to me at tech inspection.

4-17-2011: Performed the M030 sport suspension retrofit.

4-28-2011: Installed Nitto NT01 D.O.T. R Compound tires in 245/45/17 front / 275/40/17 rear on my second set of Carrera cups.  These were painted a metallic anthracite.

5/1/2011: 2011 Autocross season kickoff.  My friend hooked up his camera to the car to record my fastest run.

The Run

FLR SCCA Autocross @ RIT: 5/1/2011

When life serves you cones, run over every single last one of them.

Final tally - seven cones and a stall requiring a push start.

Watkins Glen PCA Driver Education May 23 and 24, 2011

Yarred it into the Armco after a full 360 spin on turn 10

6-3-2011: Got it detailed - damage buffed out with a few little scratches remaining, but got all the rest of the scratches and swirls out of the car - lookin good.
