eBay purchase courtesy of my Wife's keen sniping skills, for a total of $1,381.  The purchase included the pictured wheels, as well as a set of phone dials, and an 8v engine instead of the 16v due to a faulty tensioner on the original engine. 

Plans include cleaning up the body / interior / broken bits and basic maintenance, followed by a refreshed suspension, brakes and my extra set of Carrera Cup wheels.  Then probably a respray and finally the contemplation of building the 8v, replacing a 16v, or swapping an LS1.  Who knows!?



7-20-2010 : Car has developed a small but consistent oil leak.  Deciding whether its even worth diagnosing, then fixing, or whether I should just junk the motor and go with something awesome instead.

8-9-2010:  Discovered the "oil" leak is actually power steering fluid that's leaving a trail behind the car.  After inspecting the engine bay properly, it appears to be poorly wired and to have possibly been in a fire.  Car actually drives decent, especially on twisty back roads where the steering is properly weighted and there's tons of feedback.  The motor seems to be out of time and could use retiming.
