7-30-2011: I got up at 4 a.m. and flew into the Madison Wisconsin airport to pick this car up. I then drove it to Columbus, Ohio to visit my sister and then back to Rochester, N.Y. I wrote a blog entry about the trip. Car came with the following equipment: -K40 front and rear custom installed SonaRadar detector. -Wokke Perfomance chips 337 HP 530 NM -Wokke V2 EML Transmission Chip -Armrest upgrade for phone replacement - I still have the original radio and car phone. Remember car phones? 8-13-2011 : Dumped the car on H&R sport springs. Ride quality is the same, handling is marginally improved, looks are dramatically improved. 8-19-2011: Digging around under the car I found these bad boys. 10-6-2011: Installed 20mm spacers all around. 1-8-2012: Onto the flatbed she goes. Apparently there was some aftermarket alarm installed which was a total hackjob - I had never used it and wasn't even aware of its existence. It randomly decided to go off and kill the ignition - thankfully it was parked in my garage and the battery died after a bit so I didn't have to endure hearing it. The current hypothesis is that instead of soldering, the wires were just wrapped around existing wires, and that something moved and set the system off. I'm going to have the entire aftermarket alarm removed. We'll see what the shop says and how big the bill is. |
