My mother was beautiful. She had six childrens and worked hard for us. She is not look like this any more but still look great and younger than her age. She still work and get successful in her works earning much money than her children She doesn't know she is my great teacher who change me immediately and obviously at two turning point first point.. in mathematic.. at first year primary school, I didn't know how many palm trees could be planted when giving tree spacing, width and length of area. I know only direct divide and multiply. She saw my seirous face and taught me by drawing a rectangular and making several dots inside. Then I understood what figure to divide and what ot multiply. In class, teacher just sohed divide and multiply without drawing. I was enlighted to think in picture since young and get good grade since then. Later on for high school physics and university, engineering, drawing photo diagram is a must, but I practised this since 6-7 year old. second point.. in drawing. I had to draw Loy Krathong festival. Normally I know only how to draw, house, mountian, bird and road and got only 10-11 over 20. My mom watched TV and saw my problem. She never do it dfor me nor tell me how but give me a hint and make me think. She asked me to think about scene .. When I pinted light blue sky, she siad its at night.. not day time.. then I mixed it withn dark blue. I left temple fence unpainted saying its white same as paper color, no need to paint. She said temple fence is not really white, think about it. I said it's white with dark trace of fungus. We discussed like this and outcome was so beautiful like kids' painting that win award. I got 19.5 /20 first time and after that I got good grade from drawing. Its very effective change. She didn't know how much she has changed me... So I get good grade both science and art. When she saw my drawing, she asked whether I wanted ot sutdy in art, not like other parent. I said no, its' just hobby. I am good at left hand, startying do everything by left hand, but my mom insisted me to use right hand for writing. I think even using right hand I could draw so if Ib use my left hand it might be greater. I used to think my mom limited my ability andv skill on this, but later on I observed I could use both hand, just have ot practise in right hand. So now I write, eat by right hand, using knife and scissor by left hand, playing badminton by left hand. Using both hand all the times may be important factor that I could do both science and art. Another point that my mom made my turning point too. I love her but never tell her by words just by doing something. I'm pretty much ambidextrous, but I'm left eye dominant. I was born left handed, but in elementary school I switched to righty because there was no such thing as a decent pair of left-handed scissors. They were an obnoxiously different color than the rest which screamed "this kid is different... git 'im!" and couldn't cut a damn thing to begin with. I can write legibly with both hands, but I prefer right hand. I can shoot pool with either hand which is quite advantageous for certain shots. (I hate using that bridge/rake thingy...) I'm a goofy foot on a surfboard, but I'm a right handed batter. I used to shoot firearms with a right handed and left eyed cross dominance, but eventually had to train myself to use my right eye. For the life of me though, I cannot do the same with a camera. I've been told that some folks can track a subject with their left eye while using the right to compose. I've always had to pull the camera away briefly or zoom out and track through the viewfinder. That's been the norm for me and got me wondering, left or right eye, how others follow a fast moving subject. This photo is about a year old, but the left or right eye question seems to come up from time to time. Boy, does that D40 look tiny in my hands.
