TYCO special pieces TYCO was a Lego clone in the 1980s. Unlike Mega Bloks, their bricks were of the same quality as Lego. Their artist design wasn't, though. Their minifigures were just plain ugly, and a lot of their embellishment pieces like antennas and such were not as refined. However, their engineering was fine. Here are some pieces that Lego has not made. Male SNOT pieces with studs on both sides: The body is 1/4 TYCO plate height. (That's 1/8th brick height.) Female SNOT pieces with anti-studs on both sides: The body is one TYCO plate height. (Note that Lego would have to make it 2 plates high as the height of 2 studs is greater than the thickness of one Lego plate.) The 60° angle pieces were the most radical new pieces. These were used for a hexagonal tower for a castle. The most disappointing thing about this is that the hexagonal gap is not quite 2 across. That means a 1x6 will not connect across the top. Tyco
