OUR MISSION
To foster independence and integration for children with autism by providing highly trained service and therapy dogs that offer companionship and safety.
Autism Dog Services is a private training school, based in the Toronto area, which trains dogs to work with children and families living with autism.
In addition to the unconditional love that a dog provides, a trained service dog can also provide increased safety for the child, peace of mind for the family, and a chance for the child to better integrate into mainstream society.
Whether the family already has a dog that they wish to have trained, or whether they seek to have the perfect dog chosen for them, Autism Dog services offers a program to meet every family's individual needs. Training sessions in the family's home, as well as in the child's school, are included, as is ongoing follow-up service to ensure that the dog continues to meet the child's needs.
