| Transcription: Petition of Conrad Ruscuff for Naturalization J M Freker [witness] Voucher Filed Jany [January] 13th 1851 United States To the Honorable the Judges of the Circuit Court of the United
States, in and for the district aforesaid. I, Conrad Ruscuff do swear that the facts set forth in this
my petition are true, and that I will support the constitution of the
United States, and that I do absolutely and entirely renounce and
abjure forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince,
potentate and sovereignty whatever, and particularly do absolutely
and entirely renounce and abjure forever all allegiance and fidelity
to the King of Hanover whereof I was heretofore a
subject. John M. Freker do swear, that the petitioner Conrad Ruscuff has resided within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States of America five years, and within the State of Pennsylvania one year; that is to say, he, the said Conrad has residence in the County of Allegheny all of which places are within and under the constitution of the United States--and that during his residence within the United States, he has behaved as a man of good moral character attached to the constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
