FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who can join the Austell Ambassadors?

Any Austell Intermediate Student (grades 2-5) can join the Austell Ambassadors. Now that Clarkdale Elementary, grades 3-5 have moved into our school, they will be permitted to join, too.

How can I apply to the Austell Ambassadors?

At the beginning of each year, an application will be passed out to all students and will also be posted by the world mural near the cafeteria (this is the Austell Ambassador information area - check back often!). You must complete the application BY YOURSELF (no parent help) and get a parent and teacher signature as a recommendation into the club. You would make a good Austell Ambassador if you like to help people and learn about new places of the world.

When and where does the club meet?

The club meets the third Tuesday of every month in the gym. If you attend the After School Program, you must sign in there and then join the club. Near the end of the year, as we begin to prepare our end of the year presentation, we meet more often than the third Tuesday. A calendar is created at the beginning of the year or you'll know ahead of time. If there are any changes, notices are sent home so check your agenda and listen carefully to the announcements!

If I'm a student, but not a member, can I still help?

If you didn't apply in the beginning of year, or if you are a part of another club and can't attend the meetings, you can still help the Austell Ambassadors! We always need help promoting our fundraisers and rising awareness! If we are selling anything or collecting anything, please participate! Tell all your friends and family to participate, too!

As an adult, how can I help?

We could always use more hands helping out the 95 students we have at each meeting! Whether it's passing out snack, providing resources, or hanging up flyers.  Also, participating in our fundraisers is a great way to help! Tell all your friends and family! Talk about us at other community events that you attend.
