At work, we recycle used greeting cards into little gift boxes, which are donated by employees and customers. Not all cards make great boxes, so I go through stacks of cards and pull out those that won't work for various reasons (too much text, pictures that won't center, etc.). Sometimes a really nice greeting card just doesn't work as a box.

However, in the course of weeding through dozens of cards I occasionally come across some which are just plain weird. Here is a sampling for your enjoyment.

I'm not sure what this designer was on.  This is like something from a drug-induced nightmare. The monkey looks drunk, the lion has arrows coming out of his cheek, and the lamb looks like it's ready for the mint sauce.

And who are these people?? The small one in the center looks like he has his hair done up in one of those skullcaps used to put highlights in hair. And the one in the blue bonnet looks a little demonic.

I'm not sure receiving this card would have cheered me up.

But this is my favorite: a lovely winter scene with cardinals. Holiday cards are full of images like this. However, I'm a little amused at the attitudes of the birds. He seems to be talking very intently to her...and I'm not sure she wants to listen.
