Location, location, location... The American University Equestrian Team trains with Lakeside Stable at WindCrest Farm and Equestrian Center, located in Clarksburg, MD.  The facility offers three riding rings: a grass jumping ring, a sand dressage ring, and an indoor arena, perfect for riding in all weathers! WindCrest is owned and operated by Dede and Peter Biebrauer, both experienced riders and trainers. Dede is a R” Judge, trainer and instructor through FEI, while Peter trains from halter to 2nd level and instructs from lunge line to 2nd level. WindCrest is located at:

Lakeside Stables
 
Lakeside Stable works with you to customize a training program for you and your horse. Although we specialize in preparing horses for the hunter ring, we realize that many horse owners want a reliable companion, not a show horse.

We will tailor a training program to meet your needs and goals.  Unlike many trainers, we want all of the horses we train to be well-mannered on the ground and well schooled on the flat.  Most of our hunters can readily perform a first level dressage test.
 
Lakeside Stable can help your horse become the partner you desire and help you realize your riding goals - whether they be to win a class at Washington, ride a training level dressage test or overcome your fear of jumping.

Directions 

To The Barn From AU

  • From American University Glover Gate (the exit on MASSACHUSETTES AVE) turn LEFT.
  • Take Massachusetts all the way until it dead ends, then turn RIGHT onto GOLDSBORO RD.
  • At the first light take a LEFT onto RIVER RD.
  • Merge onto 495 N.
  • Merge onto 270 N.
  • Take EXIT 18 off of 270N continue RIGHT onto CLARKSBURG (MD 121).
  • Take a LEFT at FREDRICK RD (MD 355).
  • Take a LEFT at COMUS rd (MD 95) There is no sign for this; there will be shipping/moving company on the corner.
  • Take a RIGHT on PEACHTREE RD.
  • The barn will be about half a mile down on the right you will see a sign for it.

From The Barn To AU

  • Take a RIGHT out of the driveway onto PEACHTREE RD. Follow it all the way down until it ends.
  • Take a RIGHT when the road dead ends and you will see a sign right there for 270S. Merge onto 270 S.
  • Merge onto 495S.
  • Take EXIT 39 for RIVER ROAD.
  • Follow RIVER ROAD until it ends. Turn RIGHT (this will put you onto WISCONSIN where Guapos is).
  • Turn LEFT onto NEBRASKA AVE.
  • Turn RIGHT onto MASSACHUSETTES AVE.
