Frequenty Asked Questions about AudioBlank Plugin pack
No Audio Processing? What's the use with these plugins then? These plugins can be used to document and recreate the settings you have used to record your tracks. For instance, say you have miked an amp for a guitar track in your song. If you forgot the knob levels you set in the amp, it'll be tricky to continue the guitar track later, because it'll be difficult to get the same sound. To tackle this, you could insert the AudioBlank plugin representing your amp, tweak the knobs to reflect your settings in the amp, and forget it. Next time, you can refer the plugin and tweak your amp accordingly. How many plugins do you have in the pack?Right now there's only one; AudioBlank Marshall MG15-CD, JS plugin. Another plugin, Yamaha Pacifica will be ready soon. Initially, only JS plugins will be developed. VST, LADSPA versions will come sometime later. Is it a Open Source project?Yes. AudioBlank Plugins are licensed under GPL v3. You can access the source code from our google code - project page. You are welcome to participate in the development. What's VST?VST (Virtual Studio Technology) is a widely used audio plugin standard. What's JS?Jesusonic (shortly JS) is another plugin standard. Reaper DAW supports JS plugins. http://www.reaper.fm What's LADSPA? Linux Audio Developer's Simple Plugin API. It's an Open Source plugin standard widely used in Linux and some windows applications. http://www.ladspa.org/ How do I contact you?I'll create a google groups and link here.
