Projects

Boys&Girls Club Garden
Build a vegetable and flower garden with the kids at the Lee County Girls and Boys Club. The ongoing project began on Feb. 28, 2011 and hopefully will become a lasting component of the Boys and Girls Club.  Volunteers work with the kids every Monday from 4-5pm and 5-6pm to care for the garden and discuss earth and health realted topics.

Global Citizenship Initiative
Our goal is to increase awareness about global and local issues and increase communication and cooperation between related global-focused student organizations. We want Auburn students to take the lead in making the world a more sustainable, happier place for all of its citizens. This initiative contains a global-focused student organizations coalition and the development of a online resource center for these organizations.

Real Food Challenge
To increase funding to make sustainable food (healthy, local, organic, fair-trade, natural, ethical) more available to students and faculty at Auburn University and to implement sustainability initiatives within the dining system to alter the Auburn food culture in a positive way, where we are more knowledgeable about the source of our food and are able to choose foods that are less detrimental to the environment, economy, and society. Fall of 2011 the Real Food Challenge became its own student organization. Congratulations!
