I wasn’t in any rush to get our Christmas cards done this year. I figure with three kids and an infant at home, nobody’s going to be too upset if they’re a little late. But the hubs had a different opinion. (Of course he has little to do with actually getting them done, so why should his opinion matter really!) So I threw up a blanket, stuffed the kids in their Christmas outfits, hoped for the best and just snapped away. This year it’s going to be a little less elaborate (for obvious reasons). No handmade card. No letter. Just a cute picture of the kids on printed cards. You know what we say in school.....you get what you get and you don’t get upset!
The winning photo (of course I took about 80 and this happened to be the second one I took. Should’ve just quit while I was ahead.)

A few of the out takes....what adorable kids! (And such a pretty baby too.)
Always giving her the love!
You know what they say....always go to bed prepared for a battle!

So they pestered us like crazy to get the tree. We finally picked it out and dragged it home. Then we got it home and didn’t have time to decorate it. So we endured a week of nagging until we finally had a chance to decorate it. It’s up, it’s lit, it’s decorated........and now they can find something else to drive us crazy about. (I’m sure it won’t be too hard to take them too long to find the next thing.)
They went to town......we have sooo may ornaments that Dan and I hardly put any of ours on this year. We’re going to need more than one tree soon.
TA DA! All done!.........and this is what Daddy did while we decorated (It’s amazing what “taking care of the baby" can get you out of!)
After all that hard work they needed a treat before bed. (Actually I convinced Ethan to stop driving me crazy about decorating the tree during the week by telling him we should wait for the weekend. Then we could bake cookies and make a whole night of it. Just my clever way of getting him to stop bugging me about it so much. It worked!)

It’s never too cold to stargaze......if you’re Nana anyway! If there’s a meteor shower, she’s there. And if Nana wants to do it.....the kids want to do it!
She plays shy, but we all know better!
I think there’s a Nana under there and maybe an Ethan

We cannot hold them off any longer. They need a Christmas tree. They can’t live without it. We have to get it NOW! So we left Brenna with the grandparents and headed out to the tree farm. We not only got a tree, but as an extra added bonus.....Santa too! Nolie wasn’t too sure at first, but they were handing out cookies and that boy can be persuaded to do almost anything with some sweets. The lure of the sugar cookie was too great.....he ended up on Santa’s lap before he even knew what hit him.
Daddy and his entourage
My little nature lovers with a bird’s nest they found.......Love that cute little face!
They can always find something to entertain themselves. Vine Tug-O-War anyone?.........Such a cutie
That lasted for about 2 seconds, then he let the tree farm guy take over.
That’s definitely the Nolie we all know and love.......I can’t believe they all cooperated! (Guess a bag of cookies works for all of them.)
I needed a picture of all three (oops....four!) for the photo book I’m working on. Thought I’d include some of the outtakes too. They are great!
Typical Nolan.......Brenna’s over it!
I just love Brenna’s crazy face in this one More crazy faces from the babe.......and big sister Rory is always nearby

Brooke was my neighbor in Maryland and we had our first babies within 2 weeks of each other. Now we had our last babies within a few months of each other. Kinda neat if you ask me. We really helped each other through the ups and downs of those first babes and she has helped me tons with figuring out this bottle thing. (None of the other 3 did bottles at all.) So grateful to have other Mommy friends to go to for advice. It just shows that even after 4 kids, there is still more to learn! So glad she could make it up to see Brenna while she’s still little (relatively little of course)
Her smiley guy with Rory (she’s never met a baby she doesn’t like)
Our big babies~so glad they’re still buddies.......Somebody tucked her in with her little owl taggie (handmade by Ethan) Too cute! Had to get a pic!
Ethan’s been bugging us since she came home to let him feed her. Tonight he finally got his chance. He’s a great big brother of course and he did a great job!

Night time smiles for Mommy! (Just wish I had my good camera when she smiles. I always just have my phone near me.)

Decorating the house with the kids and decided that Brenna needed some decorating too. She doesn’t seem too excited about it though.
She’s much much cuter than Santa...don’t ya think? |

Just like her big sister......she’s an excellent funny face maker. This is just the beginning I’m sure. Rory is still the best at it.
Tongue out...tongue in “You talkin’ to me?”.......Pensive (or pooping. Hard to tell the difference.) And this means “I’m done!”

It’s now Nolan’s turn to take gymnastics. They all do a year of gymnastics before preschool. It’s a two hour/once a day program. So far he loves it. His teacher had one thing to say on his first day. (Keep in mind that she taught both Ethan and Rory.) She came out and said to me “He’s your talker huh? The other two were so quiet.”
Nolan swinging on the rope swing.......”TA DA”
Trampoline Time
Jumping in the pit
Snuggling with Nana.....and a little smile! (She smiles all the time, but I can never get my camera out fast enough.)
