About Attenuator.app for iPhone

From a given input voltage, Attenuator.app calculates based upon attenuation given in dBm, voltage and watts.

I use this for calculating expected voltages with variable attenuation from 50 to 300 W amps. For example, a 3 dB “pad” will give me approximately 25 W, or 100 V peak-to-peak from my 300 Mhz 50 W amp. A little too high for my o-scope!

Some more screen shots are on the next pages.

The flip side shows options, such as Voltage root-mean-square or Voltage peak-to-peak; Impedance of arbitrary resistance (50 Ohm is usual in my work, but radio uses 75 Ohms.

Can now calculate from any of the 6 input boxes. For example, enter the desired Vpp in the lower Vpp box, and find the starting Vpp.
