So, who on earth is Addy?

Well, I'm 58 years old, too young to sit in a rocking chair and too disillusioned with the corporate world to return.  I quit my job when I was pushed to the brink of losing my sanity in a thankless job, after I was diagnosed with cancer.

I told myself I'd take a year off.  That year has turned into 4!  I'm never going back.  I will never subject myself to a bad situation like that again.

That was the beginning of the rest of my life.  Fortunately, I was incredibly open to try new things, whether they paid well or not. I had already decided I was ready for something different.

Have you ever felt that before?  No more IT projects, computer programming or data analysis!

Life is great!  No, I did not go shopping! I cocooned.  I meditated.  I reflected on what I should do with the rest of my life.  I volunteered.  I cleaned houses.  I built playgrounds.  I joined Toastmasters.  I worked a lot on self-development.  I read.  I joined a gym.  I rebuilt my health.

Our 15year old cat, Bobby, rules the roost.  He sleeps all day, snores, and takes supplements like we do.  As he gets older, he has started to lose muscle tone, especially in his backside.  It makes me sad because he was very strong and muscular when he was younger.

I now know cats can be trained to use treadmills....I have a video under "My Favorite Pet Video".  It is hilarious!

I grew up in Malaysia, went to school in New Zealand and in the U.S.

I'm a professional student - always been.

While searching for wellness, we stumbled across network marketing.  I never imagined I would "do one of those"!

That was me then.

I am me now.

It's not what you get, but what it teaches you.  Had this not fallen in my lap, I could live the rest of my life without ever developing my people and communication skills.  I would have been a miserable person as a result.

I believe everything happens for a reason.

My biggest challenge was worrying about what people thought about me.  I had never been in sales and had as much self confidence as a wilted plant, constantly apologizing for "inconveniencing" people.

For years I told myself I was only a follower, not a leader.  I was scared to speak out, call attention to myself, or be tagged as a nuisance.  It was so important for me to "blend in".  Hah!

What network marketing has done for me was to open my mind to something much more rewarding than the drudgery of following the billions of people round and round the same track, ....going through the motions of life, ....digging furrows deeper and deeper into the ground with every step.

I learned at lot about myself that I did not like.  I felt absolutely inadequate.  Those fears had been programmed into my subconscious mind.  Almost everyone can relate to the fear of rejection, of not being good enough, and especially of not being

liked.

I struggled with the fears until......

I developed myself.

I finally found a mentor, a very kind woman younger than me!  I’ve met many wise women half my age and it makes me feel proud that women now feel empowered to be great and help others be great!

Where would I be now had I not quit my job 4 years ago?  I cannot imagine.  I feel so blessed.  Network marketing is an industry that develops leaders.  I have gifts I never opened....Watch me grow!

Thanks for visiting!
