    Account management for private customers.

  • Consultant business development, Larsen & Toubro Infotech in Bangalore, India (2006-2007)3. L&T Infotech is one of the top 10 Indian IT enterprises, offering complete software solutions in banking, insurance, production and telecommunication branches.

    The job consisted of market research on potential customers in the Western European market. Inter alia this contained sketching the present IT structures, acquiring core information and contacting firms. Moreover the function required organising several business meetings and conferences, translating documents as well as functioning as a contact person for Dutch and Belgian clients, prospects, embassies, trade commissions etc.

  • Business market analyst for Reed Elsevier Group in Amsterdam (May 2007 – August 2007)4. This is a publisher in the area of professional information, for academic, public and private customers.

    Managed large amounts of sales data as a business market analyst. Based on these data customer behaviour was analysed in order to introduce fair pricing models.

  • Lecturer Strategic Management for the Leisure Management department of Stenden University in Leeuwarden (October 2008 – present).
In this position, the main responsibility is the coordination and content of Strategic Management courses for Tourism, Leisure and Media / Entertainment Management. Other tasks include lecturing in Business Economics and Marketing-related subjects, as well as guiding students in problem-based learning, entrepreneurship and thesis research. Also working on the proposal of a new bachelor-degree programme in Humanitarian Assistance Management in a project group.

Živa Čeh


Assistant professor Živa Čeh, PhD, studied English at Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. She started working as a librarian at Pedagoški inštitut, Pedagogy research institute, in Ljubljana and later taught English at Gimnazija, Grammar school, Koper. After starting to work at UP Turistica, Faculty of tourism studies, Portorož, she did postgraduate studies at Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, where she got her master's degree and PhD. Her interest in collocations and word combinations started with the research she carried out for MSc and PhD, where she researched the effect of systematic teaching of collocations on students of English as a foreign language. Her areas of interest include word combinations, teaching English as a foreign language, intercultural competence, English for academic purposes, English as lingua franca, communication and cultural difference. She has actively participated in many conferences and has had her articles published in different monographs, such as Destination Management (Peter Lang), New Directions in LSP Teaching (Peter Lang) in English Studies in Flux (Gunter Narr Verlag).
