In accordance with the international nature of tourism, UP Turistica
puts a lot of effort in international cooperation. Judging by the
response of students it could be said that the number of students
interested in gaining some international experience is on the increase.
As a result more and more of them take the opportunity to enter student
exchange programmes and to do practical work abroad. Third year
students are entitled to the latter within the number of hours planned
for practical work. Numerous offers have been received not only from
various European countries, but lately also from the USA and from some
more exotic tourist destinations, such as the Maldives and Tenerife. UP
Turistica takes an active part in international projects, such as
Erasmus and Socrates and in this way ensures a good quality student
exchange. The faculty cooperates with the universities from Sweden,
Finland, the USA, Italy, Great Britain, Israel, Germany, Croatia and
Hungary. UP Turistica is a member of numerous international tourism
associations, UNWTO, IAPCO, AIEST, ATLAS, CHRIE, and AEHT among others,
which may be considered one of the factors contributing to the better
quality of study, research and development processes at the Faculty. Contact PhD.
