Welcome to the High Spires!


High Spires represents during the 2010 Dragon Con parade through downtown Atlanta.

Welcome, warriors, to The High Spires.  The High Spires is an official Dagorhir chapter, and we focus our efforts on helping veteran and new Dagorhir members experience the thrill of safe, padded, medieval-style Dagorhir combat!  The High Spires is filled with skilled and friendly folk who are ready to get you to experience the glory of Dagorhir combat.  Practices are held almost every week, and the High Spires also hosts a number of events throughout the year.
 
Nationally, The High Spires is probably best known for hosting The Ides of March -- an annual weekend Dagorhir campout held during the (obviously) Ides of March.  Because The High Spires resides in a warmer climate than many other Dagorhir chapters, the Ides of March has become a rite of spring for many Dagorhir fighters throughout the nation who are aching to cast off the winter and run (screaming with a maniacal battle cry) into the prime Dagorhir season!


 
Interested in Joining a Battle?
Fighting practices are generally held Sundays @ 1pm in Blackburn Park, Atlanta.  Practices are occasionally cancelled (weather or due to people traveling to an out-of-state event), so please contact us ahead of time to ensure practice times/locations.

New to Dagorhir?
If you are just getting into Dagorhir, be ready for a great time!  Although you will be expected to eventually have your own gear (shield, sword, etc.) and garb (our medieval "uniforms"), we have plenty of loaner gear for your first few battles.  Just bring athletic clothes (that you can get dirty) and some water.

High Spires Battles:
High Spires battles have an event fee of $1 OR the donation of a food/beverage for the potluck "feast" afterward.  Weapons check starts at 1pm, battles begin at 1:30 pm.  Minimum garb standards (according to Dagorhir rules) are ENFORCED at battles.  Camputs (in red) have different event fees and schedules.
