Troy Athens Science Club is an extracurricular organization that competes in the Michigan Science Olympiad.  We are a very successful team and are proud of our achievements.

The Michigan Science Olympiad (MSO) is an annual event that celebrated its 25th anniversary in the 2006-2007 year.  "Michigan was one of the first states to host Science Olympiad competitions in the early 1980s" (Science Olympiad Website).  It is an event for both middle schools and high schools.  The Science Olympiad tests most of the sciences, and over 500 middle and high schools compete in the olympiad.  This year (2008), there were 15 regions, in which regional tournaments are held.  The MSO tournament (state tournament) is held.
