Sliced into ribbons. People are all examples of collections. Collections of personality. We all know little bits of all that there is to know. I know a bit about marine biology. I know some about being a father. Then there is a fat slice of fishing knowledge. I have a slice for photography. I have two Bachelor's degrees. How many people do I have stored away - grouped into slices formed of the circumstances of our acquaintance? These slices are all gathered and glued together to form a large part of the whole. There are then slices created as development has progressed and experience has molded my personality from within. The addition of slices makes me expand. Some fall off and are forgotten in time, but most shift around from place to place as new experience reshapes perceptions of the old.
