Shannon Fern joined Communications Strategy Group in June 2008. Shannon possesses more than eight years of diverse communications experience with expertise in the areas of public and community relations, event planning, and sponsorship marketing. Before joining CSG, Shannon developed and implemented a comprehensive sponsorship and community marketing platform that drove Dick’s Sporting Goods’ entry into the Colorado market. As Senior Community Marketing Manager, Shannon successfully negotiated and implemented two naming rights partnerships, and more than 100 professional sports and grassroots sponsorships, while serving as official spokesperson for the company in Colorado. From 2001-2005, Shannon honed her community relations and marketing skills in local government and parks and recreation in Highlands Ranch, CO. In addition to spearheading the redesign of organizational marketing collateral, she planned and executed the operations and publicity for more than 10 annual events, and developed a two-time award winning public information campaign. Shannon launched her career with the Valero Texas Open, a PGA Tour Tournament. As Marketing Coordinator, she developed and executed the tournament’s marketing plan; managed the creative direction, development and distribution of marketing materials; and ensured fulfillment of all sponsorship commitments. Shannon has also lent her talents to organizations such as the Arthritis Foundation and Leadership Douglas County with pro bono public relations and communications work. Erik Keith joined Communications Strategy Group in January 2008 as a social media and digital communications director. Erik understands the importance of a broad-spectrum approach to the ever-evolving digital world of public relations ensuring that clients gain the most traction from their online strategies as a complement to their offline PR campaigns. His experience and dedication to staying current with emerging technologies, trends and online services provides CSG|PR clients highly unique and effective digital PR outreach optimizing their visibility and influence through online content distribution and conversation. Prior to joining CSG|PR, Erik managed retail stores where he was responsible for operations, including marketing, sales, human resources and store profits. He was recognized and honored for his work on several occasions for increasing sales and operational efficiency. Erik is also a photography enthusiast specializing in event, performance and nature photography. His pictures have been published in The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News. Erik has also snapped photos in the 28 countries he has visited during his travels, which has provided him a unique understanding of different cultures. Raised speaking English and Spanish, Erik continued to study the Spanish language at the university level, where he completed a semester abroad in Valencia, Spain.
