FROM THE EDITORWe are pleased to present the latest issue of The Constructivist! As we have made the transition to a new editor, begun our move to a new website, and planned our first international conference, we have been reviewing a number of exciting articles that we are eager to share with you. With our return to a new academic year, this issue focuses on the world of practice for pre-service and in-service teachers. Authors Irene Plonczak, Sue Brokmeier, and Lynda Venhuizen take us from inside the university classroom into the community and elementary classroom to learn with and from young learners and their teachers. Caroline Hopenwasser and Denise Cunningham ask questions about their own practices and share their questions, concerns, and discoveries as they engage children with decision-making in their classrooms. Finally, Shelly Counsell takes a look at equity in classroom settings for ALL learners. As we continue our reviews for the next edition of The Constructivist, we encourage you to consider sharing your experiences and inquiries with us. Whether in the area of practice or research, we welcome your submissions. Contact Amy Malkus at malkus@etsu.edu for more information
