• Beau attended ASME professional meeting.
Reviewed the Student Org meeting. -Student Ambassador Program -New Student Welcome Display board. - Possibly get HPV and Recycling Machine thing for table -Community Service- Habitat for Humanity -Praveen assigned to get Linked In and Twitter account -E-Week: trebuchet competition BBQ last Sunday was very tasty, but had limited turnout. Possible social events for members—movie night based on engineering, hangout with professors, something fun. Jinger suggested that we do more tours, ie. Engineering labs on campus -Shelby will try to contact the people at Ka for a tour of the set -Possible tour of La Rev -Jinger will contact Dr. Boehm for tour of solar panels adjacent to Flamingo Rd. -Tony possibly will give a tour/workshop of Machine Shop. Sign up for Google web album to store photos Michael assigned to update ASME Board in hallway Discussed SLS (Student Leadership Seminar) can send 2 members. Fundraising Activities -Car Show: Selling prepackaged food or t-shirts -T-Shirts for ME/ASME can be sold on website, in ME 100 classes, and in ASME display. Open to design Ideas. -Albertson’s day, Jason’s Deli, Raisin Canes -Festival of Communities Dawn’s Christmas Party, December 15. All student orgs are welcome. Closing Career Services building—Student Orgs can compensate by doing more workshops. Robot Day—in the great hall, have kits so people can come and build. Fall career fair—Start sending out packets to companies willing to participate. ASME can get supplies for Student Section—ASME Magazines, Brochures, Pins, Student Section Letterhead, student member certificates, student section poster Michael and Praveen assigned to make display board for New Student Welcome Contact Jake from SAE to have a new banner made. SPDC—Discussed interest in the design competition. Alternative Energy. Decided on general meeting to be held every two weeks. Location undecided. Talk to Joan to reserve a room in TBE.
