The Cake Doctor’s Buttercream Icing (Kitchen-Aid or heavy duty mixer) Ingredients 2 Cups Hi-Ratio Shortening (this can be purchased at most cake supply stores) 1 Cup Brite White (this can be purchased at most cake supply stores) ½ Tsp. Popcorn Salt (optional) 1 ½ Tsp. Vanilla ¾ Cups Water 3 Lbs. Sifted Powdered Sugar Directions Using Beater; cream Shortening, Brite White until well incorporated. Add Vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on low speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When sugar is completely added, mix on medium speed for approximately 2 more minutes. Scrape bowl. Mix additional 5 minutes |
