About Al "Doc" Gaston, “The Cake Doctor©" "Doc" has demonstrated at countless Bakery Trade Shows throughout United States, Canada & Mexico as well as numerous cake decorating clubs including I.C.E.S. He taught cake decorating in conjunction with the State of California’s Rehabilitation Program. "Doc's" illustrious career in decorating spans more than 46 years and has been highlighted by creating designs for numerous notable celebrities, as well as for many television and motion picture studios. Appearing on shows from Johnny Carson to Good Morning America, "Doc" makes cake decorating fun and easy for everyone he meets. Al "The Doc" Gaston was the Director of Product Development and Technical Services for Coast Novelty Mfg. Company in Venice, California, one of the largest cake decorating suppliers and manufacturers of wedding cake tops in the United States. He was instrumental in developing new cake programs for several grocery chains and bakeries. Al still consults and Beta test's products for select companies.
Al "The Doc" Gaston accomplishments include; instrumental in developing a line of “Cake Doctor© products including, Doc's Kuckle Rub©, for removal of food color from hands, Doc’s Airbrush Cleaner®, Doc’s Jewelry Cleaner® as well as an artificial permanent icing for dummy cakes called “Doc’s Display Coat©”; authoring five cake decorating books and hosting six cake decorating videos.
