Emerald Green Vintage Art Glass

I am a huge fan of art glass, so as soon as I saw this piece I had to buy it. It is a whimsical take on the more traditional goblet vase because the stem is much taller then normal. It is also known as a balloon vase, a brandy sniffer vase and I have even seen them referred to as a wine glass, although it is not the intended use. The green shape is handblown with an applied stem and applied base, the rim is hand formed. The circular pattern is very pronounced and has beautiful depth when lit up. This is an unmarked piece but is likely made in Italy during the 1940s to 1950s. It is in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks. The only flaws (air bubbles) are the ones that were created naturally when the glass was formed. The dish stands 10 inches tall and 5 inches wide at it's widest point.

Arts and Crafts Embroidered Oak and Acorn Pillow

I finally finished putting this Oak and Acorn, Arts and Crafts Period Textiles pillow together, though I finished the hand embroidery a little while back. The kit provides enough thead to embroidery the stems and acorn caps plus outlining the leaves. However, I wanted the entire thing embroidered, so I purchased additional thread to embroidery the entire motif.
