What is the School Readiness Council?The School Readiness Council plans activities and events that help provide parents and children with information about resources available regarding the transitions that occur during the early childhood years. The council consists of members of various service agencies throughout town including Ashford Youth Services, Babcock Library, Board of Education, school administration and faculty, local family day care and parent representatives.
How do we support Families?We provide parent and child interactive activities and workshops as well as literacy and cultural events. Some examples include:
Family Reading Night
Parenting Concerns Workshop
Motor Development Workshop
Other programs based on needs or interests
These programs are available to all families in the Ashford community at no cost.
