This module focuses on the film industry as a business: Production > Distribution > Exhbition. You should be aware of the different types of films there are and how they are distributed (that is, marketed and 'physically' transported to exhbitors) and where, and what conditions, they are seen.

Hollywood producers work, at the very least, 18 months in advance and often further. Producers can look at current trends to try and guess (as nobody knows anything) what will still be popular in a couple of years time.
