A Reformulação da Tecnoutopia pelas TIC is  the Portuguese title of  my next  report to the IBERCOM congress in  Seville in November. The main subject is the distinction between information, communication and knowledge and the ways in which a correct understanding of this might help us get beyond utopian thinking about technology.

«Da explosão tecnológica à máquina de governar» is a Portuguese language paper I wrote in May 2006. I am looking for feedback to improve it and new ideias to develop future research. The paper trails science fiction, artificial intelligence and life, speculative science and trend analysis - drawing a lot from Vernor Vinge's Singularity concept - and tries to use them as pointers to a new way to understand technological breakthroughs and their reception.
