- LinkedIn
- LinkedIn is the network I connect with the most. My network mainly consists of co-workers and former co-workers. The LinkedIn service seems to work well and is easy to understand.
- FaceBook
- FaceBook started mainly as a network for classmates. I do not use it too often, but my younger relatives do use it frequently for posting photos.
- MySpace
- The is one of the most famous (infamous?) social networks. I mainly access it to look at photos that my college-age relatives post.
- Plaxo Pulse
- Plaxo is similar to LinkedIn. I am not sure how I got roped into this one. Once you build a network of friends, it alerts you by email of their approaching birthdays. This is cute or annoying, depending on how many emails I get.
- XING
- XING is yet another business oriented social network, I think. I rarely access it.
- Naymz
- Naymz is also another business oriented network, except that it sends me more email than I'd like and tries to sell me stuff. If it gets worse, I will try to de-enlist myself.
