This Festival is located in a beautiful old neighborhood with wide streets and neat, historical homes. We are just a few blocks from Downtown and also a few blocks from the National Quilt Museum and the River Front... Come for the Festival- stay for the weekend!
Some of the Events & Features of this Festival include:
- Open Studios and Galleries! You can walk right into the places where the art that goes all over the country (and sometimes all over the world) is made... Take a moment to meet your neighbors and see what they do!
- Visiting regional Artists! We will have the best of the regions artists represented... Works in metal, clay, fiber, paint, jewelry, photography, multi-media and more will line the streets and fill the Galleries!
- Music! The Paducah Symphony has partnered with the Festival this year and is using their enormous technical know-how and music resources to present a phenomenal range of entertainment on 3 different stages. We'll have everything from Comedy to Jazz, Blue Grass to Blue Suede Shoes...
- Amazing Food! The restaurants of the region are going to present a sort of taste of Paducah by creating examples of their best and offering to you... this will be the best festival dining you've ever had!
- Sidewalk Painting Competition! We will 'rent' you a sidewalk square and provide you with a box of sidewalk chalk so that you can create your own masterpeice... prizes will be awarded and all proceeds will benefit a local Childrens Charity.
- Balcony Theatre! Because this neighborhood has such neat architechture, we are presenting short vingettes from various balconies around the festival... you'll want to catch them all!
