The AMEF Action Group is our steering group and festival committee combined. We'll be meeting once a month to plan and organise the whole of AMEF. This includes arts workshops, training and who does what for the Festival 08 itself. If you'd like to get involved, or get more involved if you already are, then AAG is the place for you.

What's occurring?

Some of the Action Group members are taking part in a 10-week British Sign Language taster course paid for by AMEF funds. Comments so far:

  • "Great fun, and really interesting! It has improved my awareness of the  Deaf community, and it'll look good on my CV too"
  • "It's a chance to do something I wouldn't normally be able to afford to do"

Recent news

16/03/2008

Members of the Action Group took part in the Sports Relief Mile. We volunteered to register runners at Rushden & Diamonds Football Club, and then walked the mile ending at Stanwick Lakes. Then we turned around and walked it again so we could get back to the cars!

Action group meeting - I couldn't go, but Emma took notes and brought me back some pizza! Yum! Looks like plans for the Music Festival are progressing apace!
