Arts a la Carte and Red Deer Public Library sponsored a summer event called "Write to Belong" Invidividuals submitted poems on the theme of "belonging" for a summer 2009 event at the Red Deer Public Library in Red Deer, Alberta. Poems were submitted on plain paper or mounted on/in art. The exhibit was featured on the fourth floor of Red Deer Public Library's downtown branch.
