Le specialita del ristorante sono: skordalia (salsa fatta con aglio e pane o patate), gavros (acciughe), insalata greca (con formaggio feta), kolokithea keftedes (polpette fritte di zucchine), tzatziki (salsa di yogurt, cetrioli e aglio), taramo salada (crema di uova di pesce), kalamarakia (calamari) grigliati o fritti. I brought home dinner tonight from my Thai cooking class. I cooked the rice and curried seafood, and the salad was prepared by the instructor while we watched. The dressing was lovely! Recipe for the salad next time. Curried seafood with coconut milk (Based on a traditional Thai recipe) 3 spring onions, chopped 2 fresh coriander stems and a handful of coriander leaves, chopped 2 kaffir lime leaves, shredded 4 green chilies, chopped 1/2 lemon grass stalk, chopped 2cm fresh ginger root, chopped handful of Thai basil leaves 10 mls vegetable oil 200mls coconut milk 1 tbsp Thai fish sauce 400gms fresh seafood (squid, shrimps, fish fillets) A squeeze of fresh lime juice 1. Make a curry paste by mixing the first 7 ingredients in a blender and process to a paste. Stir in the oil. 2. Stir the prawns in a hot wok (no oil) until they turn pink. Remove from the wok and set aside. 3. Pour the coconut milk into the wok, then bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add 1 tbsp curry paste and fish sauce. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. 4. Add the squid and chunks of fish and cook for 2 minutes, until the seafood is tender. Add the shrimps. 5. Garnish with basil or coriander and a squeeze of lime juice. Serve with Thai rice.
