More than that, it is always remembering that everyone is different. Solution A is a real humdinger-winner for Bobette, yet Darla is darned if she is going to lift a finger for it. Justin can barely contain his contempt for what has just been proposed, and Steve is chafing at the bit to get started. Why? We all differ in personality traits, cultural backgrounds and family upbringing to name a few distinctions. Despite all these variations, we all have some important qualities in common. We all want to be happy and we all want to be treated kindly.

Leaders educate themselves on the differences and on the similarities. They learn that leadership is more about the people being lead than it is about the leader. They learn how to help others get what they want. They are familiar with goal-setting and accountability. In short, they learn everything they need to learn to serve others.
