Born in Boston, Massachusetts twenty-seven years ago, I was raised in Boulder, Colorado.  As an artist I explore emotion as expressed in the human face and form.  When I put brush or palette knife to canvas, I embrace feeling.  Whether the dark emotions of fear, loneliness and pain or horror, the ugly emotions of rage, despair, shame or torment, or the complex feelings of hope, compassion or love, I use a style that evokes my subject and provokes the viewer.  My primary medium is oil on canvas.  I also enjoy exploring various media such as pastel, watercolor, and pen and ink with airbrush.
