The model shown hereafter is called an Indexical Model, it is an abstract model located in between the graphical representation of a mathematical function and a possible Architecture.

To generate the surface we merged the function of an implicit surface (Surface characterized by only one parameter) with one which function uses more parameters creating a "path" through a "field". The surface was left quite course to make it buildable.

To build the actual surface in a simple and economical manner and make it as close to it as possible we triangulated it using a folded rectangular piece of paper. At each four points of the field we had to choose between putting the fold between either two set of two opposit points thus using either white or cream colored paper.
