Ken Tocheniuk has been
working with stone for over 23 years, 15 of those years on Gabriola
Island, B.C. which is where he also calls home. Always drawn to stone as
a medium, his work has ranged from stone facings and walls, to pathways
and columns. Creating The Stone Heaters requires Ken and his talented stone hunting partner Anne to spend long days in the wilderness, searching for unique stones that will go on to become one of a kind pieces of natural art. Each one is chosen carefully by Ken and Anne, from selective geographical locations to ensure minimal interference with the natural ecology they are connected to. Ken's vision is to share his love for stone through The Stone Heaters, and have them warming peoples homes and hearts far and wide. |
