Gale Cyr

 

     Gale grew up in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island.  During her school years she focused on academics, sports, and music.  While raising her family she  joined a concert band and a jazz band, and also enjoyed embroidery and crocheting for many years. Gale love’s working with colour, texture, and design, in her garden and in her painting.

    Gale started painting six years ago with a beginner watercolour course.  Since that time, she has progressed to painting in a looser style and on to abstracted images and expressionist painting.  She has attended workshops with many award-winning painters including Jean Pederson, Gerald Brommer, Maureen Brouillette, Carol Barnes, Pat Dew,  Suzanne Northcott,  and Steven Aimone.

Gale and her husband Joe  continue to make thier home in Port Alberni with thier two miniature dachshunds.
