Round tablecloths to buy - Coral wedding napkins Round Tablecloths To Buy
Car boot vintage roses Very tired on Sunday morning and miserable weather - after a late start decided that I would go to the car boot after all (I hadn't been for a while). Arrived as people were packing up - a dash round proved very fruitful and I kept on thinking: 'Why did no one else buy this stuff?' Is it me? Amongst other things, I bought this tapestry cushion (?1.50), 1930's/40's rose bag (50p!!!!) and roll of wonderful fine cotton (from the 1950's by the look and feel of it) with Cath Kidston (grrrr) style roses and that very trendy background teal colour - a roll of it was ?5 (still a bargain in my eyes and much, much cheaper than buying new). I also bought tablecloths by the arm load (?1 each!!). I had to plead with a woman not to sell her 1930's dolls tea set and went through her family tree trying to find someone else who might like it..... I bought it for ?3!!! Barcelona skirt (A-line)
Amy Butler would be proud. This is a round midweight linen tablecloth in a super cool print, totally stain free, that I thrifted and have been sitting on for years. I was SO happy to discover that I could get the front and back pieces for the Barcelona A-line skirt out of the tablecloth without any monkeying around. I'm going to line it with regular muslin. The sticking point right now is invisible zippers: have never installed one, can't find any 7" ones locally, and I don't have the right machine foot. I will probably shorten the 9" one I bought, and I'll have to run out and get a foot before more progress is made. However I do have fabric for TWO of the layered skirts already washed and pressed. Those have invisible zippers too.
