Join me in my musings regarding what it is about poetry & art that draws us back to sonnets by Shakespeare, or limericks by e.e. cummings, or so many others whose words may or may not make literal sense to us -- yet keep us mystically drawn to their words, coming back for more!
Irish poet Oscar Wilde is quoted saying, "Life imitates art far more than art imitates life.” If this is true, then why not paint a life as vibrant and colorful as one of Picasso's paintings? Or as intricately divine as a mosaic art piece made of bits of stained glass [is it not simply broken glass made purposeful by purposeful strokes of elucidation and a will for it to be?]...?
