Hardware

DELL Latitude D520

Core2Duo 15" 1024x768 4:3

Replace wi-fi card to supported type. Easy to charge from under the laptop.

wifi-card model you need is "Atheros AR5BXB63"

Without doubt my favorite computer to run AspireOS

ACER Aspire One

Atom N270 1.6 GHz - 8.9" TFT 1024x600

Fully supported models are ACER Aspire One A110, A150 and ZG5.

By todays standards little weak.

Celeron 1.6GHz 15" 1280x800

Fully supported

Playstation 1 and 2 controller adapter to USB. This adapter works great with AspireOS.

Build a compatible AspireOS computer

Start with some motherboard where you have space for all cards needed and you are fully supported.

Not all motherboards are guaranteed to work, but most are good.

The Core2duo platform is proven to work good with AspireOS.

Intel Q6600 Quad, Nvidia GF6200, Soundblaster-Live CT4760, Atheros wifi card

You need 1 pci slot (sound card). Maybe onboard sound is working. 1 pci mini-express port (wifi card) and 1 pci-express slot (gfx card).

Another way go get online is with some android cell phone. Share internet through USB.
