  • A solenoid valve is an electromechanical valve for use with liquid or gas. The valve is controlled by an electric current through a solenoid coil.
  • Valve that is actuated with a electromagnetic solenoid magnet. 2 possible variations, NC (naturally closed) which is closed when there is no current applied and NO (naturally open) which is open when no current is applied
  • A valve that uses an electromagnetic coil for actuation.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to two people who have helped me tremendously lately. Bladerunner2008 and Kev Lewis. So thank you both for all the technical help, advice and items that you have given me lately, you help is invaluable and very much appreciated :) Testing out the new solenoid valve here (thanks Rob) with wonderful trigger cable (thanks Kev)! A little messy but still need to do some fine tuning, and also think a lens/flash/reflector clean up is in order too!

I caught this with a setup I made from a gate valve that gravity fed from a container of water at the top I used the gate valve to control the rate of water. I now have a solenoid valve I may hook up to it to control the release not sure yet if I'm going to use it, cause out of this set of photos I caught 24 impacts out of 33 shots but this setup still needs more work. Thanks for looking.
