flip flops, himba style

The flip flop sole is made from a thick animal skin, and simply put together with a rope. The Himba are an ethnic group of about 25,000 people living in northern Namibia, and southern Angola. Married Himba women wore heavy anklets. They were made of hand wrought iron beads, then strung onto a leather support structure. Anklets such as these displayed wealth and were worn daily.
