Jayne Gould has been passionate about books and reading since she was a child. As grew up realised that I wanted to pass on all the excitement and fun I found in books. Luckily, I’ve been able to spend my working life doing just that, firstly as a children’s bookseller and now as a primary school librarian. I see the major part of my role as being the promotion of the enjoyment of reading, as well as helping children become confident, independent library users. In 2006, my school nominated me for the School Library Association School Librarian of the Year Award and I was thrilled and surprised to be on the Honour List for that year. I have also been involved with the Federation of Children’s Book Groups at both local and national level for many years, and was Chair for 2004/5. Damian Harvey is the author of over 50 books for primary school age children. Damian lives in North Wales with his lovely lady, Vicky, and has three wonderful daughters one brilliant boy and a cat called Polly. Linda Lawlor was a secondary school teacher until last summer, when she decided to follow her dream and write full-time. She is just finishing her first book for teenagers.
