Louise Ellis-Barrett is editor and 'team-leader' for Armadillo magazine. I have been reviewing books for a number of publications for many years now and have a very large home library as a result! My wonderful long suffering husband, a teacher, keeps threatening to make me a new bookcase because when I am not reviewing or editing I am busy working as a school librarian - another excuse for more reading! I adore my day job and am very excited by what I do - working with books and children is a true delight! When I have spare time my hobbies include knitting, sewing, cross-stitch, playing the saxophone and clarinet, gardening, baking, looking after my chickens and cat! I try to find some time amongst all this for reading and speaking to my husband too!
Doda Smith wears many hats… I am a children's poet and have been writing stories, and doodling for as long as I can remember. I also dabble as a singer/songwriter and play a number of instruments. I am an avid crafter, selling my jewellery and gift items online, and I used to have my own web design service. I live in the Highlands of Scotland, with my wonderful husband and three lovely children and feel very blessed to be surrounded by so much beauty. I have been a reviewer with Armadillo for several years now, and have come on board as an assistant for the web design process, and to help with donations.
