Deepwoods Studio is nestled in acres of hardwoods on a                                     hill overlooking a lake. In this tranquil place, making art                                       comes as naturally as day following day.

It is a place conducive to fresh thinking and engagement                                     with ideas of fragility and balance, which translate into my                                   love of enigmatic imagery, saturated colors, natural fibers                                 and pigments, which come together with a soft tech touch.

Portfolio archives are links at left.  Current work is in JOURNAL

Scattered among my drawings, prints, and collages are twists                               of vines I scooped from the Amazon, a hawk's wing found on                               a Block Island beach, and paper layers peeled from a vacant                                 hornet's nest.  Along with almost daily discoveries in nature,                               they remind me of life's complexity and its impermanence.
