ArkADE Kellogg Scholarship
ArkADE presents an annual $200 scholarship for attendance at the Kellogg Institute at the National Center for Developmental Education. Applications are accepted through June 1 of each year. The recipient of the award will be selected by the ArkADE Executive Committee using the following criteria.
The applicant must:
- Be an ArkADE member for at least three years.
- Have three or more years experience as an educator or administrator in developmental education or learning assistance program.
- Currently work in developmental education or learning assistance program area.
Submit the following as application for the scholarship:
- A one-page, double-spaced description of how his/her participation in the Kellogg institute will contribute to his/her professional development and to the developmental education/learning assistance program in which he/she is currently employed.
- A letter of personal or institutional support for the remaining costs of attending the Kellogg Institute.
- Three letters of support from supervisors, colleagues, and/or students.
The recipient will be recognized at the Fall ArkADE Conference following participation at the Kellogg Institute. The recipient will be expected to present a session at the ArkADE Conference telling about his/her experience in an effort to encourage others to attend. The application deadline is June 1. |
