the vintage fabric and lace gods were kind today
My mother in law came over today with a suitcase full of treasures that actually brought me to tears. These all belonged to her grandmother and mother. This is just some of what my mil gave me as she heard a little fairy kindly gave me an amazing piece of french butterfly lace trim from the 20`s pictured in the middle:) and she thought she had just the fabric and trim to go with it...oh yes was she right! I kept uttering the words " oh my god ..oh my god..oh my god.." over and over as each piece was unfolded from fine tissue paper. She told me to take what ever I wanted there was so much to offer I felt greedy taking all these. There was so much more and they deserved a place in the National Gallery. Amazing pieces. I`m almost too scared to use them..but Cassy..I told you I envisioned something special for your lace...I think I have everything I need now ;) With shaking hands I begin..xoxo
